WILLIAM “BILL” KEMNER

William “Bill” Kemner, 87, Sturgeon, MO passed away Friday, September 11, 2026, at his home. He was born on September 18, 1938, the son of the late William L. and Frances (Owings) Kemner. On June 7, 1970, he was united in marriage to Linda Joyce (O’Dell) Kemner who preceded him in death on June 30, 2026.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one daughter Julie Gordon and her husband John of Columbia, MO; one son Greg Kemner (Kristin) of St. Peters, MO; one grandson Dylan Gordon; other relatives and many dear friends.

Bill served his country in the Unted States Air Force. He worked as a teacher for Centralia Public Schools and owned and operated his own farm with his wife Joyce, for many years. He was a member of the Centralia Masonic Lodge, Consolidated Water District, where he served on the board and the Sturgeon United Methodist Church. Bill was active in the Sturgeon United Methodist Church Food Bank and loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandson.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Sturgeon, MO. Interment will be in Mt. Horeb Cemetery near Sturgeon, MO. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time on Wednesday, September 16,2026 at the Oliver Funeral Home in Sturgeon, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt.
