TIMOTHY JOSEPH SCHWENNESEN
Timothy Joseph Schwennesen, 76 of Centralia, MO passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at the Landmark Hospital in Columbia, MO. He was born on November 27, 1949, at the St. Louis Lutheran Hospital. He was the child of the late Clarence Joseph Schwennesen and Shirley (Eckhard) Holke. He graduated from Wentzville High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy as a 2nd Class Petty Officer in Naval Aviation from 1969 to 1973.
Tim spent much of his career serving his community as a butcher and owner of Tune’s Locker. He retired in 2012 after 35 years. He was a Boy Scout Master from 1973 – 1977, a Deputy District Governor for the Centralia Lions Club, 3rd ward Alderman of the City of Centralia, and a member of the Centralia United Methodist Church. Outside of work he enjoyed drag racing, fishing, traveling, going to the beach, reading, and spending time with family and friends. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh and bigger stories.
Tim married Debby Lorber on April 1, 1977, and from that day on they were fools in love. Together, they shared 49 years of love and companionship. Tim Schwennesen is survived by his wife Debby; and children Christy Sheble (Dave) of Fisherville, KY, Amanda Schwennesen of Wilmington, NC and Aaron Schwennesen (Autumn) of Centralia, MO; grandkids Dawson and Conner Sheble, along with Penelope, Caden, and Ruby Schwennesen; his siblings Tom Schwennesen (Mary) of San Antonio, TX, Terry Schwennesen of Decatur, GA and Vickie Meierotto (Keith) of St. Louis, MO; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, his in laws preceded him in death.
A celebration of life will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at the Centralia United Methodist Church in Centralia, MO. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to service time on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at the Centralia United Methodist Church in Centralia, MO. Interment with Military Honors will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to the Centralia United Methodist Church or to the Centralia Avenue Of Flags, c/o Oliver Funeral Home, P.O. Box 125, Centralia, MO 65240.
