MARJORIE ROBERTS COX

Marjorie Roberts Cox, 87, Maryland Heights, MO passed away Monday, December 8, 2025, at her daughter’s home. She was born November 17, 1938, in Eaton, IN the daughter of the late James and Martha (Schmidt) Roberts.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by three daughters Tracy Lanes and her husband Steve Cwik, Josie Niemira and her husband Oleg Bogomolev and Teddi Schwartze and her husband Nathan; one brother Jerry Roberts of the State of Florida; one sister Roberta Bowlds of the State of TN; six grandchildren Donlon, Brittany, Lauren, Jay, Felix, Wesley and Valerie; one great grandchild Baby McGovern; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents, one daughter Laurie Cox and two sisters Christine Boots and Phyllis Roberts preceded her in death.

Marjorie first attended the University of Indiana and later the University of Missouri where she obtained a BS in Journalism and a Master’s in Public Administration. She worked as a personal trainer for the Department of Historic Preservation for the State of Missouri. She was a member of the Fairview UMC in Columbia and the Women’s VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed karaoke and spending time with her family.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
