LAWRENCE WAYNE WRIGHT

Lawrence Wayne Wright, 76, of Kansas City, MO passed away Friday, September 5, 2025, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, MO. He was born on September 18, 1948, in Wichita, KS the son of the late Lawrence and Flora Mae (Kirkham) Wright. On September 4, 1970, he was united in marriage to Rhonda Kay (Hensley) Wright.

In addition to his wife Rhonda of 55 years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons Travis Wright of Kansas City, MO and Mike Wright and his wife Rebecca of Savannah, TN; one brother Lonnie Wright of the State of Kansas; one sister Connie Keurk and her husband Harold of Wichita, KS; six grandchildren; his daughter in law Rikki Wright of Columbia, MO; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents, one son Clint Wright, three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Lawrence served his country in the United States Army from 1967 to 1969. He first worked as a truck driver and later retired as a line worker for Ford Motor Company. He enjoyed fishing, NASCAR racing and football, especially the Oakland Raiders.

Graveside services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO.
