EVELYN BERNICE (NOLTE) ROBERTSON

 

Evelyn Bernice (Nolte) Robertson, 93, Centralia, MO passed away Saturday, July 27, 2024, at the Heritage Hall Nursing Center in Centralia, MO. She was born August 29, 1930, in St. Louis, MO the daughter of the late Julius and Electra (Edwards) Nolte. When Evelyn was 3 years old and her brother Marvin was 8, they moved to a farm 8 miles south of Centralia. At the age of 14 her parents moved to Centralia so she could attend High School. After graduation from CHS, working at the telephone office and being a waitress in a café, she was united in marriage to Claude Robertson on November 21, 1948, who preceded her in death on April 13, 1984. 

 

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters Claudine Kakac of Highlands Ranch, CO and Jan King and her husband Paul of St. Louis, MO; one sister Leota Rumans of Joplin, MO; eight grandchildren Paul Kakac and his wife Tammy, Brian Kakac and his wife Gayle, Jeffrey Kakac and his wife Dijana, Ashley Robertson, D.J. Robertson and his wife LeiKisha, Jason Blakemore and his wife Julie, Kelsey Weakley and her husband Justin and Zachary Blakemore; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband, one son Ralph Robertson and one brother Marvin Nolte preceded her in death.

 

Evelyn attended nursing school, received her L.P.N. and worked for 26 years in nursing. She was a member of the Centralia Church of Christ, Centralia Senior Center and enjoyed gardening, baking, swimming, quilting, and decorating cakes. She volunteered on several community projects, neighborhood watch, American Cancer Society, and was an advocate for clean air. She worked with the Care Ministry of Monroe LA for several years which was affiliated with her church. She loved spending time with her friends and family, especially all of her grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday, August 2, 2024, at the Centralia Church of Christ in Centralia, MO. Interment will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time on Friday, August 2, 2024, at the Centralia Church of Christ in Centralia, MO.
