EARL BYRON MOORE
Earl Byron Moore was born June 27, 1943, in Fergus Falls, MN and moved to Heaven April 20, 2026. He resided in Sturgeon, MO and was a beloved father, an adoring husband and loyal quiet friend to those who were lucky enough to know him. He had a great wit and sense of humor and possessed an uncanny ability to fix absolutely anything.
He was married to Barbara Jean Ciskie on January 4, 1964, in Le Center, MN. He is survived by his wife Barbara, a daughter Sharon Marohl, a son-in-law Jonathan Marohl, three granddaughters, Victoria, Tiffany and Pearl “Mattie” and special friend Corey Sandoval, three great grandchildren: Kelea “Mae”, Alexandria, Charlie, two nieces, Melanie Bryan and Cassie LeBrun, a sister-in-law Leta Morris, and a brother-in-law Ronnie Morris. He was preceded in death by a brother, Homer George Moore, a son, Kenneth Earl Moore, and his parents, George Richard Moore and Pearl Mattie Hartman.
Earl attended High School in Campbell, MN where he played on the varsity basketball team in 7th grade and perfected the art of sleeping with his eyes open during class. He competed in stock car races as a young man and said the only thing that he couldn’t pass with his Packard was a gas station. He managed his farm outside of Campbell, MN raising wheat, sunflowers and soybeans, cattle and hogs. He drove a school bus for 13 years and was the Bradford Township Supervisor in Wilkin County, MN for 3 terms. After renting out his farmland, he worked as a farmhand for Donn Steenbock for several very enjoyable years. After moving to Tennessee, Earl worked hotel maintenance, a job he loved because there was always something that needed fixing. He and his wife Barbara later ran a very successful handyman business of their own called Spruce Up. In 2008 they moved to Missouri. Earl enjoyed carpenter work, genealogy, snowmobiling, spending time with his family and he was always up for biscuits & gravy.
A celebration of life will be held in Campbell, Minnesota at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Riverside Cemetery in Campbell, Minnesota, c/o Oliver Funeral Home, P.O. Box 125, Centralia, MO 65240. Condolences may also be made to the family at www.oliverfuneralhome.net
