DERRINGER A. WRIGHT

Derringer A. Wright, 35, Sturgeon, MO passed away Monday May 18, 2026, from injuries sustained in a car accident. He was born on December 17, 1990, the son of the late Charles Wright Sr. and April (Vanarsdall) Messmer. On May 30, 2015, he was united in marriage to Brittany (Banks) Wright.

In addition to his wife Brittany of 10 years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his children Kiley Sue Wright, Hunter Waylon Wright and Lydia Rae Wright; his mother and stepfather April Ann Messmer and her husband Robert; his brother Charles Grant Wright, Jr. ; his sister Carissa Ann Wade and her husband Brandon Lewis Wade; mother and father in law Carolyn Sue Banks and Thomas Allen Banks; Brother and sister in law Travis Allen Banks and Shelby Lynn Banks; nieces and nephews Grace Ann Wade, Charli Raygen Wade, Josie Elizabeth Wright, Charles Grant Wright, III, James Luther Wright, Noah Alvin Banks and Eli Wilbert Banks; his grandparents James Luther Vanarsdall and Cindy Vanarsdall; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his father, his grandparents Roy and Betty Wright preceded him in death along with one baby lost during pregnancy with his wife Brittany.

Derringer worked as a welder and machinist for the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. He was a member of Rocky Fork Fellowship Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and building things with his hands. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his children.
