DENNIS DALE BLAKEMORE
A much-loved father, grandfather, son and brother, Dennis Blakemore, 67, of Centralia Missouri has passed away at his home after a battle with cancer with his children by his side. He was born on December 14, 1958, to Dale and Rinda Blakemore of Harrisburg and they survive. He was the older brother to Sandy Mueller (Loren) and Jodi Bottomley (Brett) and they grew up together in Harrisburg along with many cousins. He was a member of Harrisburg Christian Church and was baptized at age 13 with his sister Sandy in the family's lake. He graduated from Harrisburg High School and married Jan Robertson (King) and they were married for 18 years. They had three children together, Jason Blakemore (Julie), Kelsey Weakley (Justin), and Zach Blakemore. Later in life Dennis met Cassandra Iverson of Sturgeon. They spent many years together traveling and spending time on Dennis’ land. Dennis enjoyed watching Cassandra’s family grow to include grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dennis worked for AB Chance/Hubbell for 47 years and had many loyal coworkers he enjoyed seeing in his last days. The biggest legacy of Dennis are his children and grandchildren who will always remember his smile and easygoing nature. His grandchildren, Connor Blakemore, Cora Blakemore, Blakeson Weakley and Krew Weakley will remember fun times at Dennis' lake where they swam, kayaked, fished, rode the four-wheeler and camped. Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and chess, watching football, but most of all he loved spending time with family. Dennis could be counted on to talk about the high cost of things. Dennis led a life of generosity, selflessness, and happiness with family and friends at the center. The family would like to thank everyone for their love and support in this difficult time.
A celebration of life will be Friday, February 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Harrisburg Christian Church in Harrisburg, MO. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the Harrisburg Christian Church in Harrisburg, MO.
