CLYDE W. HANCOX
Clyde W. Hancox, 92, Columbia, MO, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2026, at the Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO. He was born February 27, 1934, in Louisiana, MO the son of the late William and Beulah (Young) Hancox. On July 3, 1952, he was united in marriage to Anna (Kelly) Hancox who preceded him in death on June 17, 2022.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two daughters Pam Kuda of Curryville, MO and Penny Moore of Columbia, MO; two grandchildren Cory Hancox and Jaimie Hardin (Jake); ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife, one son Cary William Hancox; two grandchildren Angela Keele and Eric Kuda; his brother and sister in law Bobby and Marian Hancox; an infant brother Roger Hancox; and a son-in-law Phillip Kuda preceded him in death.
Clyde served his country in the United States Navy. He owned and operated Hancox Construction for many years in Vandalia, MO and later moved to Columbia, MO and worked as a general contractor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling and playing darts. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially all his grandchildren. He never missed any of his grandchildren’s sporting or school events.
A celebration of life will be 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. Interment will be in the Centralia City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until service time on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Oliver Funeral Home in Centralia, MO. Memorial contribution may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research, c/o Oliver Funeral Home, P.O. Box 125, Centralia, MO 65240. Condolences may also be made to the family at www.oliverfuneralhome.net
